Getting out there

It's been HOT in Los Angeles these past few weeks. We took a break from the heat and headed up toward Wrightwood for a little camping - weather in the 70's and cold enough at night for down sleeping bags and ponchos!

Raku!

 Our first raku firing last weekend - fire, smoke and red hot glowing ceramics. The pieces turned out beautiful with dark smoky blacks, shiny metallics, and scaly looking greens - the beginnings of an Autumn mood.

The Long Weekend

On the way to Grizzly Flats

Took a hike in Angeles Forest looking for wildflowers, and even this late in the season there were tons of beautiful blooms.
